New set up need help- bushings for 300mag

Hey guys, I am trying to pull everything together for a new rifle in 300 winmag. The action is at the smith getting trued up and the barrel is being made by shilen. It will be a standard chamber (not the tighter option they offer.) I am hoping to make a few dummy rounds to send to shilen so they can give me a touch more throat. This is a new chambering for me so I need to order ALL the stuff. I am going with Redding bushing neck die/ body die, and comp seater set.

What I really need to know is which bushings will I most likely need?

I plan on using good brass (I haven't really checked the market fully yet - I guess Nosler?) but also Winchester that I will prep and sort. I'd like to try ordering three and see if I can get what I want from those.
I am going for accuracy, but this IS a gun I plan on using in the field; lets call it a long range hunter.

Vassal...I have no experience with the .300 Win. Mag. I do have experience with the 7 MM Remington Magnum. In regards to you choice of brass; Norma is much better quality with much thicker case necks than anything else that I have ever tried. Good luck.

As Gilream said use Norma, followed by Nosler, then Winchester that has been sorted. The Nosler and Norma brass is thicker and Nosler is what I used in my .300 Win mag Sendero. You will have to decide which brand brass you are going to use, seat your bullets of choice in about 2 or 3 dummy rounds, then measure the diameter of the loaded dummy rounds. For a big .300 subtract .003 off the loaded round and that will be the redding bushing you will want to order. Probably order one .002 off your measurement as well for a tad different neck tension. Experimentation will net you the neck tension you want. Love them .300's!
