New SEB Smallbore Rest

Pardon my ignorance - but what makes a smallbore rest better for smallbore than a Neo or Mini-X?

I see the mariner wheel is at the bottom, which is easier to reach when prone?

It's actually my son's (Christopher Lionel) prototype rest, designed for air rifle / rimfire BR.
The "AR-250"
He designed and made 3 prototype units by himself with his teamwork, I only helped him to make sure the rest and the details are Ok.

1. It's inexpensive (I was told it would be under $700 price range, shipped),
2. It's light and compact, pivot head, with a large retractable column that can be locked very securely.
3. It has extra wide MOA travel in the joystick and also very smooth.

Chris sent two prototype units to Pilzen 2023 and one to Larry for input and feedback.

I was told that someone (Fady from Lebanon) won the 50m Unlimited and set a new world record in Pilzen 2023 using this rest for the first time.
Another one (Bruno/Fabiene Delatre) use the rest and placed 6th in the LV/HV air rifle match.
Probably others, I do not know exactly, yet.
For me that's a sign/proof that the rest works as expected.

A proud father,

SEB,
Is the additional joystick travel in windage, elevation or both?

Thx!
Ken

Especially the horizontal.

According to his calculation, I don't remember with the numbers, it will cover most air rifle and rimfire targets with some spare.

SEB,
Thank you.

FYI, the greatest elevation change is on the 100m targets (designated as the A33, is 14” wide by 44” tall). The current solution is to make a wide wedge to slide under the rear bag to be able to shoot the bottom bull.

Example:

If your son can confirm the new joystick windage and elevation ranges, it would be a benefit for shooters in deciding what specific SEB rest to purchase.

Best Regards,
Ken

Are you taking orders yet? If not, when do you anticipate doing so. I want one! Nice work .It should sell like life jackets at a ship wreck.
