New Scope Purchase Questions/Opinions

I am thinking of buying a Vortex Diamondback 3.5x10x50 to use on a Remington 222 and also on a BRNO ZKM 22 mag. I am looking for thoughts, recommendations, experience. Reviews seem good on Vortex scopes and I don't want to spend over $300.00. I thought of the cheaper Redfields or Leupold, but some reviews say the Vortex glass is as good or better.

Thanks

the diamond back that I looked through was pretty clear. Another one to consider is the crossfire by vortex. Its got good clarity (as long as its not at top power) and tracks perfectly. I put one of the 24 powers on 223 for squirlin and have been impressed ish . I think it was about 200, has target knobs, and 30mm tube. The nikon buckmaster is a good choice also. Lets face it we cant put a night force or leupold on everything

May want to consider the 3-10X50mm Nitrex TR One scopes that Natchez Shooters Supplies still has in stock for about $130. The Nitrex line was discontinued by Weaver. They are made in Japan and have a lifetime warranty to the original owner. Great scopes for the money in my opinion.

Thanks guys for your time and experience. I think for the money I might give the Weaver a try and maybe keep looking for a deal on a Vortex.

Good choice on the Nitrex TR1. Have a couple of the TR2 Nitrex. Mine are very good scopes. The TR1 Nitrex is pretty close to being a Weaver Grand Slam scope, same optics and internals.
