new rifle build question

So ill be build a new rifle soon . And also looking to put some weight on another not sure what thay weight now but definitely ned some more weight . Any help is great thanks

A heavy contour straight taper barrel, a laminated wood stock, and a Nightforce Benchrest scope. Do all that and you're around 15#. Still not heavy enough? Add some lead weight to the buttstock and under the barrel channel.

For me, certain to bring on a hernia. ;D

Well i got a laminate on the way ,not sure how much it will weigh . Whats the best way to go about addinh lead ?

Not sure if you plan on adding the weight yourself, but if your are going to have it done Tom Meradith does great work. Give him a call. I am going to send in my stock in to add a bit more weight to it when the season is over

That might be a good idea,iv never done anything like adding weight before

I've used liquid nail and lead shot in hollowed out sections of the butt stock on a couple varmint/tactical type rifles to get the balance point where I want it after I've added heavier barrels. Was worried about harmonics being screwed up but it was not an issue.

With that said, Tom Merideth will be doing the work on a 30BR I have planned as soon as I get my action in from BAT.
