New Rest on the market

I Just picked up my new Rest from Jeff at Hanks precision gun parts. These are brand new to the market. I think mine was number 5 that he has sold so far by word of mouth. Jeff said the new rests will be on his website soon. Jeff and his staff have put a bunch of thought and time designing these. They are the nicest rests i’ve personally ever have seen. They can be used as a two piece or one piece rests. He only made 40 of these on the first run, he is not sure if he will make another batch or not? If you want one you better get one. No I’m not getting a kick back on them. Just posting for a nice guy with an awesome product. He is just south of Cincinnati in northern Kentucky. Pretty slick looking setup. From what I know of Jeff, he's a sharp guy. The rest looks well thought out. He's big time in the smokeless muzzleloader game and designed his own ignition system for them. Very innovative and maybe the best in that market.

Jeff and I talked about that today. Like he said they don’t need to be that heavy.

I was using it as a 2 piece and noticed the weight difference between it and my Randolph, As a one piece I'm sure it'll be fine, I'm just used to the heavier rest

Was it sturdy as a 2 piece rest? Did it move on you?

It is sturdy but it did move a little more than my Randolph, I was using my machine top on it too, never tried it with the sandbag

I’m guessing with the bag it will not move. My Randolph was 25 pounds. I’m going to go weigh the new one now.

So just the front portion of the rest with the top on it weighs 17 pounds. The Randolph shipping weight the a top on it plus the box and shipping contents weighed 25 pounds. For (me) I like it lighter.

Front rest with the Edge Wood bag weights 17.1 pounds.
The rear section with bag weights 8.4 pounds.
Combined as a one piece it weights 25.5 pounds.

The rear bag has 10" of adjustment to accommodate any length of stock.
