NEW REM. ACTION

Bought a new Rem. action. Has their new trigger asmb. It is adjustable for pull weight down to about 2 pounds. This action makes a "click" sound as the bolt fully closes. Also closes hard. I filed and stoned the corners of the lugs where they ride up the chamfer on the lug shoulders. Helped a little. I don't think this action is cammed right. A standard Rem. (old) trigger will not fit this action. I assume the trigger guys make a trigger for this action.
Anybody else had this problem? I think the trigger sear is too far back?

Actions of late production have a step to the right of the extraction cam cut in the rear receiver ring(not all).
The same step is evident in the bottom fwd corner of the bolt handle cut.

Handle location & timing along with the handles extraction cam configuration is the other variable/problem.
There are 8 handle variations from '62 to present.
Rem eliminated the operation of tempering the handles years ago.

The std/2006 OEM Rem trigger group WILL fit into a late model receiver that is cut for the X Mark/Pro trigger group with slightly different installation procedures.
