New RCBS RockChucker Press question…

About three weeks ago I received a replacement ram for my RC VI press. Mine was scored from something and they replaced the ram for me. The replacement ram they sent me had no step. I wonder if somewhere along the line they redesigned the ram and the press to accommodate the change?? I will say RCBS customer service is second to none! So if by chance there is a problem they'll make it right.

For the question of tightness of ram.....I personally prefer the ram
to be on the snug side, but at the same time, i want the shell holder
to float a bit to better accommodate the die.

Explain to me why basically none of the best shooters in the world are using those… most of them are turning the ram down on rock chuckers to make them loose, or using a Forster. If you want a great rock chucker, find one that’s loaded a couple hundred thousand rounds

You came here because you were worried something was wrong with your new press. I tried to help bring a problem to light and got a smart response, so again… good luck.
Do they though?

I've seen a lot of guys using a variety. I can't tell a difference in concentricity or shoulder bump on ammo loaded on my Dillon, my Rockchucker (with tens of thousands of rounds on it), or my Zero.

The dies and the process matter more than which press they are screwed to.
