New Range Bag

Well, after 50+ years of hard use, my old pistol range bag finally fell apart, literally! I've been procrastinating for years, knowing it needed replaced but for a guy who hates change, well those of you who have a similar inclination will understand. :(

So, after some research I ordered one of those Midway Competition Pistol Range bags. It was on sale for $37.99 so I figured the downside risk was low. My expectations were low, but I needed something.

Well, it arrived today, and I must say I am really impressed with the quality and the design of the bag. Plenty of pockets for all my stuff: muffs, spotting scope/ tripod, ammo, range book, emergency range tools, staple gun, targets, cold weather gloves, etc. The interior has two padded pockets for two pistols which provides adequate protection and accommodates my 6"-barrel revolvers and would probably fit an 8" barrel too if I had one. The water bottle holder is really a nice feature.

Now I all I have to do is figure out where everything is with the new pocket arrangement.

I have use their rifle drag bag and several pistol bags. I'm not hard on stuff but these have held up very well.

Lets hope you can use the new bag another 50 years. Tommy Mc

I have 2 of those bags... The first is 15yrs old and has held up extremely well for USPSA, steel, and 3 gun matches. The 2nd is only 2yrs old and of similar quality but the zippers, loops and clips are a little lower quality. Still handles the weight though as I carry my tripod rest w/ Rodzilla top, rear rest, sand bag, bench equipment and ammo for bench matches. For the price, they are great!!
