I am thinking about making picatinny rail adapters. I need a standard 4" hole spacing for my rifles and they do not exist. I have had many people ask me about an adapter for the Anshutz rail to picatinny or an adapter for a 40x stock slot to convert it to picatinny.

I just wish someone made a short piece of rail with an oval or half round bottom that would mount to the bottom side of a short double barrel shotgun to mount a streamlight or laser. I've seen one and never been able to find one.....

How would you attach it?

The one I saw was just#6 or 8 machine screws to the rib holding the barrels together. It would be easy to take an indexing punch and mark the location and drill and tap the rib wherever you want it, the one I saw was just ahead of the forearm and you could operate the thumb switch on the back of a streamlight with your fore finger, plenty close enough to the center of the pattern for short shotgun work. Older sheriff I know has one on a old 311 Savage 20 ga with 18" barrels and 3" #3 buckshot, say's he has more faith in his ability with it than his handgun in high stress situations...

Kind of lost here, don't see how to attach the t-nuts to the smooth concave rib on the bottom of the double Barrels...

There are few blowouts I can see in the pictures. I did not see them in person but you can clearly see them in the pictures. Hmmm...

Silver solder a steel rail to the rib. Make sure the guy knows what he's doing.
I would first make a fixture to hold it centered and tight.

The one I've seen is just a simple 3" long picitinny with a bottom that fits the underside of the double barrel, it doesn't have to be as precise as a rifle. Your talking a flashlight beam and a 6 or 8 in pattern at 20 steps.... I know somebody makes them because the sheriff said he bought his"somewhere" and of course he doesn't remember where...
