New product from 21st century introduction

Excellent tool. I use my 21st century die and mandrels all the time, This would be handy to have for multiple reasons. 21st century makes high quality stuff. My only wish is that they would offer a package discount. Say you buy the die and more than 5 bushings maybe get a small break, never hurts to ask. it Would have been handy on the mandrel set below.

For my clarification from Dusty’s statement. If I use my fl non-bushing ball expanding die to size with, and I wanted to come back and add a little more neck tension before seating bullets this new die would be the solution?

Thats a perfect example of what this is for.

The design is more to size the neck further down toward the neck-shoulder junction. As it stands it would not push the shoulder back properly.

So if I am understanding this tool correctly it would not be of use if we are partial neck sizing?

Its perfect for that. You can size half the neck or even a bit farther to make a false shoulder like i use. Ill take a pic of that operation afterwhile and post it

This will be great when fire-forming cases. Shots 2x - 3x will be just neck until case is fully expanded to match chamber. Hopefully, you are offering bushings in both .17 cal and .20 cal.

Heres one i took from .271 to .261. You can put that false shoulder anywhere on the neck

So would this tool work to neck down 30-06 cases to 6.5 without moving ingodly amounts brass to the neck in my lapua brass or atleast minimize the flow compared to how im doin it now

If you're forming a 6.5-06, then it's just necking down, or shortening shoulder into smaller neck.
This does not move shoulder thickness into necks.
If you're forming a shorter cartridge from 30-06 cases, then you have no choice but to accept thicker shoulder or body brass in resultant necks. You're putting it there, so a die won't change that.

Going down in calibers make the necks thick. Most gunsmiths take this into account when specifying reamer dimensions. A 6.5 from a 30 is going to get real thick. Some dies will work but if it was me id neck them down in a few steps with this die, then get a 6.5 expander and expander body then turn the necks to a normal thickness. 21st century has all those tools you need

I have a neck turner im just afraid that the ridge turning leave's will effect the crush and neck length because my 6.5-06 is an AI. So if i can get a process down that moves the least amount and only have to turn a thou or 2 off id be happy. I ordered this yesterday so we will see. If it works good ill buy allot more bushings for my other AI's.I have 6 of them im a AI junky. Other than my Swede AI wich i torture to death with 1 hot load after another the rest of my brass has over 12 loadings.
