My findings with the 8208 XBR are that it shoots wonderfully in my .223's on up to my .308, with the best practical loads being for my 6BR and even a 6ppc. I can't quite figure how this one powder can be so accurate in so many guns and calibers. A bit of a mystery to me. It doesn't always provide the velocities I want in, say a 6ppc or .308, yet this is truly a great do-it-all powder for the small-to-mid cartridges. It burns clean too. Down-side? I have found that when used in a .223 and my 6ppc, it burns a hell of a lot hotter (normal for slower powder- yet seems hotter than most in the same burn-rate speed to me) and I've noticed my barrels erode at the throat noticeably faster when using it instead of a faster powder on the lighter bullets. Barrels, of course, likewise heat up a bit faster. Ejected brass from an A/R can really burn with this powder! Still, great stuff.
