New Norma Dasher brass in Lapua cut chamber

Has anyone tried the new Norma Dasher brass in a chamber cut for Lapua brass?
Other than trimming some of the length off were there any issues? I have a Harrel's F/L die for the Lapua chamber, thinking of using it on the Norma. Thanks in advance.

After trimming almost .050 off I took what I considered a mild load (using fireformed lapua) in my dasher and loaded up the Norma brass. Immediately pierced a primer. Shot one ore and pulled the other 3. Once I backed off on the powder charge about a grain it shot them great. Only other thing I noticed was that on the first firing they seem a little sticky. Hope this helps.

Like tball says, start a bit low with your first couple firings. Here is what I did using R15:

1st firing 30.0 gr
2nd firing 32.1

I'm using 32.8 gr now and have 8 firings on the brass with this powder weight and it is holding up well. I don't know what the velocity is but I will check it this weekend while I experiment with the Lab Radar.

I was using a Harrell's 3.5 die but just switched to a Whidden I had sitting in the bottom of a drawer. The Harrell's die worked just fine. I'll test the Whidden when firing it this weekend.

Brass was trimmed to 1.550 and it did grow a bit (Norma 1st run brass).
Berger Hybrids .010 off touching
450 primers
Rem 700 action
Krieger .237 bore with 8 twist

Rifle is a tactical type and will hold 3.5" 10 shot groups at 600 yds. I haven't done anymore load development since it shoots just fine where it is for its intended purpose. Could likely shrink the groups up but don't see a need too.

I trimmed to 1.550 (1.555 chamber) I would recommend working powder up to start.
Norma runs with-in .5 grain of powder of Lapua in my chamber. I have never
found a need to fire form Norma. I think it has more to do with what diameter
chamber you have @ .200 up from the case head. Most PTG 6br and Improved
(dasher) chambers are .470.8. @ ,200. This should keep the primer pockets
from expanding. I have had really good luck with Norma. I don't understand what
all the hoopla is all about.
