NEW NORMA 7MM REM MAG BRASS

I am in the process of prepping 200 new cases...Norma 7 Rem Mag....for a new 1000 yd gun. I having a heck of a time getting the K&M primer pocket uniform tool to fit in the primer pocket WITHOUT SEVERE DOWNWARD PRESSURE. Once bottomed out, extraction is EVEN MORE DIFFICULT.
Seems like the sidewalls are really undersized. The same problem with the K&M flash hole uniform tool....seems like the flash holes are also undersized. These tools have worked for over 40 years on Lapua and Winchester brass without incident.

Anyone experienced the same problems with your Norma brass?

Thanks...Paul

I had a hell of a time with the pocket uniformer but I did get through them. It was for my buddy's rifle and I was letting him run them. He stuck the uniformer and was having a hard time. It wasn't as easy for me as other brass but I got through it. I don't remember the flash hole tool being much different than with other brass.

I use a Sinclair carbide primer pocket uniform with my cordless and then use the K&M flash hole
All my primers are GM215 and I have had zero issues, “knock on wood”,
I don’t know if it’s needed and have never experimented but I do this every reload. Very little if any brass is removed after the first session but I like those pockets looking brand new and guess more so for piece of mind.
Very happy with the Sinclair and it cuts as new after 1000’s of cases.
For my 300 Rum, I’m going 10x fired Nosler brass again no issues with loose primers.
I do anneal every session but I doubt that has anything to do with the primer pocket more so I’m now going on 10x fires brass through a big bore rifle
