Glad to find this thread....

Been using Sinclair tooling for a few years, swore a blue streak more than once trying to make small adjustments.

Switched to K&M product late last year, love its adjustability but the tool itself is a little on the small side for my largish hands & fingers. In that respect the Sinclair wins.

Seeing John's tools now, my next neck turner will be one if his. The carbide cutter is a big plus, and the tool itself looks to be larger than the K&M tool body.

(I like the SS shell holders too! John you need to add a couple sized for the .30REM/6.8SPC cases & 22/6PPC/6.5 Grendel/6mmAR/6RAT cartridges.)

Rethink the K&M.

Apparently you haven't seen this yet: http://riflemansjournal.blogspot.com/2010/07/good-stuff-pendergraft-holder-for-k.html Compliments of German Salazar and Joel Pendergraft.

Or this: http://www.kmshooting.com/catalog/neck-turner-tools/ergo_holder.html Compliments of Roger Miller.

Had the K&M turner for a number of years and was always satisfied with it except for the small size, as mentioned. Especially difficult to hold onto when you have arthritis in the hands and fingers. Sold it, and bought the then new Sinclair NT-4000. A few months later the oversize clamp-on holder became available, and I see now a similar holder is offered by K&M. For me, they came too late for the party, and missed the main event. After using the NT-4000 would never look back now.

Hi Guys, Some new info -- I am adding a new cutter to the list for the .223rem.
The pt# (-23). Posting on web soon.
Thanks, John

John,
You have really nice equipment, and your site has came a long ways recently ;) The part # 902 does that give you the 5 cutters listed? and lastly which cases would utilize a 46* cutter? thanks,
Wayne.

John, My buddy and I are making a order in a couple of day's, that bracket will be on the order. Thanks for all the nice equipment.
Wayne.

I just ordered a NT Kit, this will be my first endeavor into neck turning, I kinda have mixed feelings because I lose so much of my brass shooting in Tac matches.

I admit never having shot a tactical match.... Do you feel the potential accuracy improvement for that venue warrants the time and expense of neck turning?

What you mean by "tactical" is a run-n-gun event, rather than something more "sniper" oriented? That I can understand would benefit from predictability but then you ought to have ample chance to recover your fired brass, right?

I'm a mat on the ground, match sights & sling shooter. Longest yardage is 1,000, mostly with Palma (155 grain) or 6mm with a 'scope. Wind is my biggest challenge once I get up in the morning then make it to the line.

I don't like to call them Sniper Matches, because I'm not a sniper, I started long range shooting in F-TR, but that kinda died out in North Texas, so stuck with a 308 I started shooting in Sniper matches, 155s at 3k performed great, but my brass was toast after 5 loads, now I'm shooting 139 Scenars at 2800 out of a 260, Rem brass is OK, Win 7-08 is better, niether is Lapua

I must say that John has the best tool that I've used, and his customer service is unparalleled.
Thanks, John
