Thank you for that warm welcome! I thought you all might like to see some more pictures, I am going to post some pics I have taken here in NE Kansas, several of my house and land. This is my road in winter. It is much steeper than it looks and many a careless driver has bought the farm here....

Someone was surprised that we have trees. We have trees here! Hardwoods, locust, burr oak, hedge, walnut. And lots of cedars. The hill picture is about 2 miles from here, same road but it starts and stops because its so hilly they couldn't really pave it.

I am a bit of a waterfowl hunter. I really am addicted to the dog part of it most of all. Brandy was a female chocolate lab I lost a few years ago...she was a monster of a retriever who should have belonged to a professional guide. Instead she was stuck with me, I was younger 15 years ago and had the energy to mostly keep her in birds. I have a new pup I am training right now who is showing a lot of promise.

This is my pup Misty. She may be my last dog, so I am putting a lot of time into her training. It seems to be paying off, I like a lot of what I see as far as intelligence, drive, and ability. Plus she is my little farm buddy. Misty is 7 months old and will get trial by fire this fall.

I am not sure if this is our last stop or not, my wife is from Tennessee. So we may move when I finally retire.

I have made a lot of great friends along the way, both in and outside of the military. Including some right here on Accurate Shooter.

Most people just drive through on I 70 or I 35...they built those roads in the flatest, cheapest to build places possible. My part of Kansas is in the NE, my property had a pretty good rise on it (100 feet). There are 17 states in the usa flatter than Kansas believe it or not....

Always rode thru Kansas on the Harleys instead of I80 thru Nebraska. Good roads, good country, good folks.

Welcome! From looking at the pics, you might need to be teaching. I hunt prairie dogs in Eastern Colorado, and shoot everything you have from 221 fireball up
