New meaning to case seperation

Found this in the last batch of brass I annealed and sized back from my 22 Dasher. I've seperated a few cases down att he web before but never at the shoulder/neck junction. Has anyone any clue of maybe why this happened?

James -- i blew the shoulder neck area clean off once, thru the barrel) when a COW fireforming load was packed too tight :o

Were you fireforming with COW?

My cases had already been formed and I hate to even guess how many firings on them several is all I know. I've had one split vertical before but never split around the case as this one did. So maybe it's a sign to retire the brass and start with fresh brass.....
