Hornady or Barnes? If they are the Barnes match burners then that could be your problem. I had some 140s that shot super good for a long time. Then they wouldn’t. Moved to the SMKs and never looked back.

I finally got it stripped with about 75 rounds on it since last cleaning maybe 50 of those were very accurate before I wasted rounds trying to figure out what happened. It’s not there yet but it’s coming around after 10 rounds. So it is going to copper up fast, shoot well for 50 rounds and go to pot. I’d like to try and smooth the bore if possible it looks like a zipper I guess from the button getting pulled through. Seems like many have tried the Tubbs final finish but I have concerns with stretching out the throat as it’s got 200 rounds on it and erosion starting just ahead of the case mouth. Other than lapping or the Tubbs system what’s my options. I don’t mind cleaning it regularly but it’s a short accuracy window then say 10 rounds wasted to get her back around.
