Starting low helps you see the load coming into tune, going above shows where the load hits pressure or starts shooting poorly.
Here’s a simple little ladder from a Dasher hunting set up I’m working on. Shot at 200 yards with bullets just touching the lands ( iirc) there’s a nice little overlapping charge rate right in the middle.
I’m fairly confident in this combo at 32.3 will repeat point of impact, moving forward I can tinker with seating depths and maybe add a tenth of powder.
