New Hornady .308 168 Hollow Point

And I do mean HOLLOW POINT. Hornady was kind enough to send this experimental 168HPBT to me, cleverly hidden in a box of .224 68HPBT's. Must be some sort of close range Zombie bullet?? ;)

You seat it upside down. The extra space in the bullet collects high pressure gases and turns the projectile into a rocket. They just forgot to include the "fins" 8) 8)

If they would market them as Tactical/Stealth specially designed for Black Rifles, I am sure they could sell them by the millions.

Just market it as a high power Zombie killer and they'll fly off the shelves.

I figured out what I'm going to do with it. Ladies and Gentlemen, I introduce to you the Saturn .30-06.5. :P

So what are you going to use for a starting load in the "second stage"? You may well be on to something for the Long-Long Range (LLR) shooters. This may even make a 60" barrel practical for .30 caliber. Might need two bipods or a truss though 8) 8)

I like it.

If that were a coin that accidentally got into circulation from a US mint, you could sell it to collectors for a lot of money. ;D

I would bet if that jacket could be duplicated, then all the guys with marble stocks would buy them so fast that the ar rifle guys wouldnt have a chance.LOL

I'm going to start a new shooting discipline... state to state shooting. Like the benches are in WY and the targets in MT! All I need to do is figure out how to light that 2nd stage. Diesel fuel and a light crimp maybe!!

BTW, that "hollow point" has the lead in it, just didn't get pointed. Must've went flying out of one machine and into a vat of .224 bullets, LOL.

Wait. You need .003" paper. Cut a square patch, lubricate with spit if you are shooting quickly and then seat lead round ball inside. According to Ned Roberts from his book, Muzzeloading Rifles, you have found a new rifle type.

Load the 06 case with primer and powder. Insert your special "muzzeloading holder", patch the ball and drop it into the muzzle. Ram with your cleaning rod until it stops.

Hand the whole thing off to somebody else to shoot while you hunker down behind a wall. Now don't we all feel foolish for reading this?

And you could reverse the position of the targets/benches according to the weather. Benches in the good weather State. Just make sure everyone competing knows which is which.
