New Hermes pantograph value?

I'm not 100% sure of the model #. It sits on a small card table and is manually operated. Also has a complete set of brass numbers and letters.
It was used to engrave rifle barrels. The owner said to make him a reasonable offer?

I no its not much information and I need one of these in a bad way? What would be a reasonable offer?

Thank you

Kyle

Without seeing it, hard to tell. But guessing, $300-$400 range for a tabletop version with fonts and set up to do barrels. The reason I say that is....I have about that in mine with 2 full and one partial font sets. I have a really nice single line script that does really nice job on barrels.

The downside on mine is, I need to use 3/8" sized font to make the proper size font on barrels due to a fixed arm. If I want a larger engraved font, I need a larger font. I believe mine is 2:1 fixed ratio. If the one you are looking at has a adjustable ratio arm, its worth more.

Here is mine...

I have $150 in mine. It's a manual model & came with one set of fonts.

Chuck, I'm liking your barrel vice / clamp setup ... Well done!

I can't take credit for the idea...I just copied and fit it to mine. How mine is set up, I'm able to mount the factory New Hermes vise without removing the vee block mounting system so I can do small stuff like dies and stubs. Works well...just using a diamond scribe.

Yes ... it was a Craigslist steel from a semi-local sporting goods store that was closing its doors. Took all of about 30 seconds for me to make my mind up to buy it. The fonts alone are nearly that on eBay.

cigarcop, you didn't answer my question. I will answer it for you. The New Hermes STD 01 set includes 160 fonts. Now if you want that broken down to see if you have complete sets, send me an email.

Mr Lambert,

Could you post or send me a picture of that SDT 01? I was reading some of your older posts on PM today.

Thank you

Kyle

No thanks I have what I need!

If yoy knew your answer why post the question?

Kyle,
The Std 01 set includes: 5-A, 4-B, 3-C, 4-D, 5-E, 4-F, 4-g, 4-H, 5-I, 3-J, 4-K, 5-L, 4-M, 5-N, 5-O, 4-P, 1-Q, 4-R, 4-S, 4-T, 4-U, 3-V, 3-W, 2-X, 2Y, and 2-Z. Numbers are 2 ea of 1thru0. You will have 30 spacers and the rest are misc symbols. There are other sets that have less fonts. You can buy them with caps and lower case, but you are then limited on the amount of ea. letters. Most barrel work is done with caps and numbers.
Mr cigarcop, a few folks don't know as much as you and would like to know they are buying what they ordered.

Chuck, what model panatagraph is this? I really like your setup - very nice work!

Does anybody know if a Green model 106 pantagraph would have enough height to use a fixture like this?

I could not find any info on the web about it. It was originally motorized, but don't have the motor or brackets.
