Let's start at the back as it's a warning to those trying to compete. This new creature was unveiled after the Manatee steel shoot yesterday. Good thing for me as I won that shoot with a perfect score. This creature looks to be more than perfect.

That's the new owner/operator - Al Benarroch. He had gunsmith Eric Bostrom do the inletting and work to put the pieces together. Think it weighs in the 65# range. Now add on the weight of the rest - both front and rear- to make hiring an assistant to help with carry and set-up. Al even added those large SEB counter weights to that SEB after the pictures.
Bostrom chambered it in straight 284 for that giant 1 1/2" barrel. It made it's debut yesterday with a lengthy shoot/clean procedure. I shot it and managed to hit a few small steel plates at 600 yards with literally no looking through the scope. I stood back, put a hand behind the butt and touched the trigger from the side with a finger. WACK!
IBS Heavy Gun ... here it comes. Those that gathered to look came back in awe. I would want one if I could maybe take out a mortgage.
Enjoy the rest of the pictures. You will soon surely see it on the range. Get ready Georgia.
