After you shoot your relay, you must immediately clear your gear from the line and get on the scoring vehicle to go downrange to see your target scored. Bring your camera if you want a record, decision at the target is final.

New Shooters are allowed coaching at their 1st Match. Youth Competitors,16 and under) may have coaching if needed. We encourage the participation of Youth Shooters.

The Hardrock Matches are run with three classes of weapons, with absolutely NO ARMOR PIERCING ammo allowed in any class.

B. 308 CLASS:

Factory SAAMI configuration, no Ackley’s or improved’s, and no Magnums. These are scoped rifles in calibers 308, 30-06, 7-08, 243, 6.5-55, and 260, etc, in factory SAAMI configuration. ,This is called 308 Class, 308 PSS, VSSF, Savage 10FP, factory target models, built tactical/work rifles that equal the PSS, Marine Corp M40, working sniper rifles, etc; with the same twist rate as the manufacturer’s specs. The rifle must chamber and function with factory ammunition. No specialized match rifles. No muzzle brakes.)

C. ANYTHING GOES CLASS: A. Without Muzzle Brake.

Scoped rifles in calibers 338 Remington Ultra Magnum and BELOW are allowed. No 50's, 338 Lapua, 7MM-STW, 30-378 or calibers with more penetrative ability than the 338 Remington Ultra Magnum. We will consider other calibers when we see what one does to the 1000 yard steel.

D. ANYTHING GOES CLASS: B. With Muzzle Brake. ***

Same as,C.) above, with muzzle brake.

If you have a question about your rifle and ammunition, contact the match sponsors.

The match is fired at 600, 800, 900, and 1000 yards, on steel plates with 5 rounds at each distance; at Minute of Angle bullseyes valued at 10 points and a two Minute of Angle circle worth 5 points. The best possible score is 200 points and the match is fired in 20 minutes.

First entry fee is $20.00. No price reduction for pre-registration. 2nd, or 3rd entry, which must be in a DIFFERENT CLASS is $10.00 each. If you shoot “Anything Goes” and want to enter 308 or 223 you will pay $10.00 each for the 2nd or 3rd class entry. There is NO shooting twice in the same class. Your first entry in any class counts for score in that class. Your second entry IN ANOTHER CLASS will count for score in THAT class. Any other same class rifles you wish to shoot that meet caliber requirements may be shot in the final relay,s) and do not count for score.

Prizes: To get into the prize drawing at Hardrock, the competitors have to shoot 5 of 7 matches and have to be present at the 7th match. Match Tee Shirts will be prepared and each competitor at any of the matches will receive one free tee shirt for the year’s matches. Tee Shirts are given out at the last match; if you will not be at the last match when the Tee shirts are distributed, be sure that we have your current mailing address. Certificates will be given to the top three winners in each class for each match.

Any questions, contact match sponsors.
