New guy needs help with 300RUM

Hey all,..I'm new to the site although I am sure some will recognize my user name from about the web

I am not sure if anyone here would even use this cannon for competition, but I had to try it. Anyway, I was running H1000 with 200gr SMK's and wanted to try something else. soooooo..

I went to the 216gr clinch river and retumbo. This past two days have just about pushed me over the edge This 1:10 30" tube have been .25moa out to 200yds with the old load but verticle showed up a bit at 600yds, so I figured the 216's may be a tad better in the wind and they have a SLIGHTLY more uniform meplat. The ladder with retumbo has been non-repetitive, and slow in MV. Yesterday, it went to .6-.8 MOA at 200yds,embarassing).

These are the specs:

match prepped brass,7x fired, needs annealing or garbage can)
retumbo
216gr clinch river seated .005" into lands,need more?)
fed 215M
1:10 tube at 30",321rnds total)

can retumbo be made to work in this rifle? is it possible that the eratic behavior could be I need to approach max loads or jamm the pills further? or is RL25 a better bet?

I use N170 from Vita that works fine, IMR7828 is a very good powder too, RL25 is a must in mag case, depend if you plan to reach top velocity but RL22 is outstanding powder

you perhaps need to keep same load and try RWS mag primer rather to 215M, or 215 ; 215 primer are sometime a bit wild ...and sometime 215 are better than 215M strange but true ..)

slow powder create a lot of carbon fouling best is to clean the barrel with carbon remover each 50 rounds, RB7 or even black powder solvent )
