New guy from Phoenix

Hello y'all. Newbie here in Phoenix. Getting involved in F class shooting.
Just built a Savage in 6.5-284 Norma off a barreled action I got from a member of Team USA.

Also getting into reloading. Starting with my 6.5 Creedmoor Rifle Sillouette gun.

I have several guys helping me out, teaching me and what not, but I figured I can get some good info here and possibly help someone as well.

Hey! Welcome. There's a discussion going on about Phoenix. Lot's of good guys, here with good advice. C'mon in and poke around!

Welcome. There's a lot of great information here. Just keep in mind that the shooting fundamentals are still fundamental, regardless of how much technology you have.

BLKWLF,
Welcome aboard! And you are in the right place and have the range at Ben Avery at your doorstep. Use it and hook up with the FTR/F Class guys who shoot there. Lots of very knowledgeable and helpful folks willing to help you as well. My son (lives in Surprise) and I went to the Berger Southwest Nationals in Feb and got to see the pros shoot and the equipment they use. Likewise, some of those guys pop up here online as well and can help you out with some pointers. Just ask. Most of all have fun and learn as you hone your skills. Good luck.

Alex

Actually work at Ben Avery, friends with a member of Team USA and 3 other F Class Shooters. My resignation from Ben Avery is effective next weekend though. Working another full time job now, pays more, benefits, and I'll have time to shoot on the weekends!

Definitely have the best of the best at my fingertips and I intend to make the most of it!

Welcome to Phoenix! We have lots of active shooters here. Go to desert sharpshooters website and look at the calendar. We shoot almost every weekend somewhere in town. Come out and look me up, Dan Bramley, we would be happy to give you as much or as little advice as you would like.

Welcome. You should get sundance's money back for him. Or a bag of teeth.
Actually helped take down a scammer in MO few years back...
Not much I can do in this matter though...

Will do, starting with a few guys doing load development at 100yds. Then planning on some mid range practice. Been looking at the calendar, gunna need help understanding what's what...

Some very experienced, and generous with info gunsmiths reside here too. I'm sure you'll find this site informative, interesting and sometimes controversial. Consider making a donation to help defray the costs of running this operation. It's the best buy on the web. Good luck with your shooting disciplines. Hog

Yeah, we have one we call our crack dealer... He always has some new gadget, gun, book, tip, info, something new every time I see him. He has helped me build two rifles and is teaching me the Art of Reloading.

The other one doesn't like savage, but he has still been very helpful.
