New gun build, need gun smith and some ideas.

I'm finally building my first fully custom rifle instead of playing around with factory guns and upgrades. It is going to be a 300 RUM hunting set up based off of a predator action. I'm still debating barrel, brake, and stock so any thoughts would be great. I'm also looking for a good gun smith in my area (Morgantown, WV). Please help!

This site is a great resource, but I think you'll be interested in the gun photos section on the long range hunting forum. Guys post pics of their builds and alot of them are just like what you're describing. Might give you some idears.

For hunting try the hs precision,I have 4 of them and they work great for hunting and you can get good deals at gunparts corp in new york.Use the jp enterprise brake and it will be like shooting a .243.

Id give Jim Borden a ring. He is in Springville, PA. One of the best smiths in this country. If you havent purchased that stiller yet, id cough up the extra coin and go with one of his. Way better quality action. Jim is top notch. He has done 2 rifles for me and as long as he is in business, I wont waste my time looking elsewhere.
