New gun barrel Breakin 6br

Have never used Tubbs.......

Clean barrel well before shooting.....

I shoot wet with Kroil.....sight in with 4-6 rds....clean

Shoot a couple 3 shot groups....keep bbl cool....

Shoot groups or p/dogs...clean every 15-20 rds

I switch to moly after 50 bare bullets....clean after 80-100 moly

rds....after bbl is seasoned.....

6BR's are barrel/shooter friendly....enjoy the 6BR

Many different opinions and methods on this subject, but my way is to base the number of shots fired between cleanings on the amount of copper I see coming out of the barrel, starting with one shot and clean. When I see a reduction of copper on the patch, and with my borescope I'll increase to 3 and clean, then 5 or 6 and clean. Some of my lapped barrels have become copper free in as little as 8 rounds and others have coppered to as many as 25 to 30. They are all different, so must be broken in accordingly. All bets are off with a factory barrel. I've had a few that never stopped extreme copper fouling and they went into the trash can.
