Here it is, please let me know what you guys like and don't like. I always wanna make it a little better. I have some gun/load data in the description. I wanna put together a nicer intro of the guns, the first one wasn't the greatest so I didn't put it in this one.

Thanks!

Re: new ground hog vid

Just this one time I can say it was not your best video.

Hope you can "sound out" the problems. Thanks for thinking of us.

Re: new ground hog vid

Being A CHUCK hunting fanatic for 50+ yrs. I enjoy all your vids.I long for the days when I could go out after work & get 15 chucks a night..the yotes have made them scarce around here.the farmer laughed when I said I was hunting chucks.he said it is getting so bad the yotes sit by a hole & wait for them to pop their heads out & grab them.GREAT SHOOTING. WHEN DO I COME TO HELP U GUYS OUT.LOL.

That was a bit frustrating to watch. Wife and I are cheering for a shot and all we hear is talk, talk, talk.

Reminds me of a one-eyed guy I used to hunt "hogs" with in Pennsylvania. He could never see the hog. Talk and talk until finally the hog would leave or he did see and shoot.

That 284 rifle is kind of big. Hoped for some flipping but it just tears through. Actually, both did that at those closer ranges. Not a fan of those "Buck Rogers" metallic parts things so seeing it also took a bit of the excitement away.

One thing I miss is what you did. No varmints like that here in Florida. Thanks for sharing.

The .284 shots can be a little long because I have to do both the camera and make the shot which is tougher than it seems. Its hard to try to keep the hog centered for the vid with the sun blaring down on the screen and what really sets me back if they move plus the high alfalfa wasn't playing to our favor. Also these vids are for our own dvd's so I actually wanna get some talking to look back years from now and listen to what all we said. That being said, this go around I have really wanted a better video editor that is more user friendly, if thats the case I will be able to cut it down smaller clips but its a real PITA to do it with mine now.

I don't get the buck rogers reference? Is that my gun or the bullets? I was also expecting some air time but I just kept head/neck shooting them (thats all I could see) I'm thinking once I get a laying down facing me shot that it will throw em a little more.

It's the gun. Looks like a sporting variation of some military rifle in the future (which happens to be today).

It takes a lot of effort to do what you did. I sure appreciate that and profit from the experience.

Thanks.

Take that .284 and work up a load with the Hornady 120gr. VMAX. Here in the west it rips and flips marmots which are the cousins of eastern woodchucks. Seeing is believing. Try it.

Thanks for the input bob. I might give the 120's a try just for fun, but that BC is not very appealing when coming from the 168gr's

Good stuff Tater! I run the 120 gr. V-Max at 3650 fps from my SAUM but couldn't buy a shot for it last night! i will post when I finally "blood" it. Did get a 100 yard "chip shot" on a 11.36 lb. Boar with the .223AI/80 gr. A-Max to take me to 96 confirmed.

Nice video...solid hits. ;D

I have to agree with other suggestions...more shooting, less talking. But that is because we like shooting!

And BC matters at 200 or less yards? Go to the 120...

Just thoughts from here

Yeah sorry for being so long winded, whens its pops turn to shoot normally that isn't too long but mine can be a pain trying to keep up the camera and gun. The small screen on the thing is almost black from the sun being bright, I have a hard time especially if there isn't any landmarks to go off of. And for the first time in a long time we had so many hogs out that I just couldn't make up my mind which one to shoot first lol.

I still might try some 120's but normally our shots aren't just 200 yards, this was only the one afternoon that we got into them plus they are going to have to shoot very well because those Bergers are very accurate. I'm wanting to see a laying down facing me shot, I bet we get some good carnage there.
