New front rest

Too expensive for what I do. My Sinclair competition rest that I've had since they came out still serves me well. I don't shoot any sport where something like this is worthy. I do like the idea of a joy stick, but not for that price.

I finally got a 21st century hybrid x rest. Rendered all my other rests dust collectors. Great american made unit.
I shoot with one too Dusty. Not sure if yours has the stainless steel inserts for the tension screws on the stock mount but if not, call Pete and talk to him about it. Without it you will notice the screws bite into the aluminum plate and leave aluminum dust all over the rest. I love my rest but I have to let my girlfriend use it when we shoot together because she said for it’s like night and day compared to the bald eagle with the Shadetree top. For me, I like shooting from the 21st century rest more than the BE, but I shoot equally well off of both.

Sounds like a second hybrid X rest is in your future!

Looks fantastic, as an owner of the T-Rex, the one complaint I have is the weight of the unit, it is on the heavy side and I was looking at a Seb Neo X down the track for the additional portability and weight saving...but given the new base is able to be retrofitted to the original T-Rex, well this makes more sense.

Thanks Paul, I am actually in the process of doing that. My new Raptor will be featured on my home page with some new content. Also, F-Class John will be getting one this next week for his review. Stay tuned. Rod
What's the lead time on the Raptor Rod? Similar colour options available?

I am waiting on my custom hard cases which should arrive early November. My plan is to have 60 units to ship by mid November. If your only needing the retro kit (Raptor base and light weight guide rods) I can get one out this week.
I’m only offering my Raptor in a black hard anodized finish. It matches your current T-Rex bridge assembly.

Hi Rod what's the retro kit going for? I love my T Rex the only thing I don't care for is having to screw in the feet every time I use it.

Thanks

Bob, the kit page on my site should be live in the next couple days. Cost will be $399 and will reduce your weight from 23lbs to 16.5lbs. I will supply three Raptor foot adapters that screw onto your bench feet or sand feet to make them quick on and off. If you have both sets of feet I will send 6 of these. It will take just one bolt to upgrade. Instructions for the process is on the owners guide on the Raptor page. Like I’ve said elsewhere, we are redoing and upgrading the site so check back occasionally for new content. Thanks
Rod

The weight of these new stands is a blessing and a curse at the same time. I never complain about the weight and I LOVE how rock solid it is once it’s set up.

Hi Rod,

I'll send you an email mate.
