New Front bag ?? Fill issue !!

I have a question about my new front Edgewood super slick bag. How do you know when it has enough sand in it ? I am using a Forester funnel to fill. I doesn't seem to look right. I can't get the wrinkles out where the stock will ride. Even took some sand out and still wrong. The sides of the ears won't fill properly. Even when pushing up with funnel inside. See pics. I made the alum blocks to hold it down on the rest top. Idea from fellow forum member. Anyone having this problem ? How do I fix it ?
Thank you,
Rmist

Well, since no solutions offered...I called Edgewood and they told me to pound a block of wood to even it out. OK !! Really !!! I didn't have any 3 wide wood lying around, so I made an aluminum block on my hobby milling machine. It actually worked out fairly well.

Looks way overfilled to me. Too much sand will cause the gun to bounce in the bags, and cause vertical. A 2x4 cut down works excellent as a bag spacer.

As for a 2x4...don't have any. How soft should the bag be?? It's pretty hard right now. I can let some sand out now that ears are full.
Thx again

Actually, the ears don't have to be full to the top. You can adjust the side tension, after you get the rifle in place to snug things up to the degree that is needed. Part of your issue may be that you have thought that the ears need to be full when the rifle is not in the bag. You may find that this results in a front bag that is excessively firm, and that that may result in vertical or an increased propensity for random thrown shots, especially if the rear bag is hard as well. As I have said before, there is no tracking trophy.

Well honestly there is not accurate answer it is a fell type of thing, that can not be measured. The picture the bag looks like it is bowing in the center, and the ears are so full they are pushing out to the sides. A bag doesn't need to be that full. Finding a proper fill takes experimentation. The bags should not be so soft that the rifle pushes the sand out under torque, but it should not be hard at all. I fill my bags until they are firm, but I can move the sand around and fluff up the bag, kind of like them fancy pillows that are on a couch. I will fluff my bag after a match or two. Rear bag I fill the bottom as full as it will go, I use a vibratory tumbler, and a large screw driver to fill it up, and stuff as much sand as I can possible get, and then stuff some more, but the ears I keep firm, and able to move with a little pressure. like the front bag.
