New Frankford Arsenal case trimmer?

I've got one and have done only a few dozen cases so far in 20VT and 6BR. I have seen no issues, it is easy to adjust and trimming is consistent.

I was given one and have used it just enough to say it works fine.

It has pros and cons like all of them. While it doesn't require ID pilots per caliber, it is also a straight cut that requires inside and outside chamfer operations. However, it has those stations ready and running.

I just prefer a three way trim so I can skip chamfering if I choose.

How long does it take to trim, chamfer, deburr 100 cases?
I'm considering a new trimmer that does all three, but I want to skip the cost of the expense of the Giraud.

I have read some posts in the archives on the Frankford Arsenal.

I think everyone is talking about the Frankford Arsenal case prep and trim center. The one I am talking about just came out and is like the Trim it 2 style. You can chuck it up in a drill and it comes with sleeves and collets for various calibers and it's only $80 for the whole kit with a nice case

Yup, my apologies. I am a little reluctant to open links these days... too many hackers running around and all one has to do is click open the wrong link...

The guts of this are the same as the trim parts on the prep and trim center, but you provide the motor... Their system works. On the prep and trim center, you tend to use two hands to creep up on the adjustment. As long as you have two free hands, this style will be the same. You turn the adjustment till you perceive cutter contact, and then start measuring and following the tick marks to hit your goal. Once there, you can use those tick marks and run.

Again, with a straight cut, you will then need to chamfer the OD and ID of the cut.

You are correct, sorry I didn't open the link before, I have now. I've never seen that one till now, looks good. I'm in the market for one that will trim, deburr, and chamfer all at once.

I used to have a wilson and dispised having to trim even a few. I purchased the FA 18 months ago and can say it is no longer a chore. Mine is very consistant and will hold to .0005 on every case. It is a 3 stage unit so inside and outside deburr are additional steps.
I added a carbide cutter and ended up getting it for around $180.00 off Amazon.
To do 100 cases with all 3 steps takes about 20-25 minutes.
