New firing pin spring for a Ruger Precision Rifle?

I have a very good friend who is having the time of his life shooting long range with his RPR. He's having problems blanking primers with a moderate load. I pointed him to a couple of threads here which discuss fixes, one of which is replacing a possible weak firing pin spring and then bushing the bolt face.
He, obviously, want to try a firing pin spring first and in dialing up Ruger he was told that the spring is a proprietary item needing a supervisors okay to order. He's going to call Ruger back tomorrow as no supervisor was available today.In the meantime, does anybody know where to order one in the aftermarket?

I was having the same problem in my RPR. Had it bushed by Gretan, and it all is good now!

This was my suggestion but he wants to try a spring first.
I'll suggest it again.

Try Wolff springs. I just put a heavier one in my tang safety 77, they might have them for that model too.

Wolff doesn't list one for the RPR.

Carlsbad just did my bolt last month. Excellent work. No problems with cratering here.

It seems to have cured your friends issue for several people. Don’t know if it’s his exact problem, but cheap enough it’s worth a try

He has one coming from Anarchy, told him to measure the tips of both.
