New coyote rig, 22x47L ,22-250,22-250ai or 22creed which one??

I`m thinking the 22 Creed, simply because I`m getting older and lazy, the 75`s @ 3500+ sound good to me.

In all honesty if unless someone just wants a 22-250AI the easy button definitely favors the 22 CM and with those two nearly mirroring one another it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to go 22-250AI over the 22 Creed.

For coyotes a standard 22-250 52gr HP or your 20x47L with 40's should fill the bill. Hard for me to understand building some weird LR rifle to kill a coyote with most of them being under 100 yards. My gotos are 222 Rem 52gr, and 20P 40gr, I won a AR in this caliber and liked the round so built a BA also..
Our yotes are anywhere from 200 to 800yds

After out PM's your shooting high value coyotes at long range, a fast twist 22-250AI or Creed would be a good choice.

Even one of the big 6's wouldn't be out of the question.

I'm thinking maybe pointed 105s might work well. Should pin hole in and out

I just went through a similar decision making process. I ended up ordering a reamer from JGS for a 22GT, should have it in a month or so. Used a 22-250 for years, then a couple 220 swifts, I have a 22BR, Sako factory 22PPC and a few others. I think a guy could take any of those rifles and use them for coyotes and do a good job but the fun for me is trying new cartridges. I was looking at the 22x47L because I love that case and Lapua brass, looked at the 22 Creed too. Theres really no wrong choice, the more I looked the more it becomes apparent that we are spoiled today with cartridge options, good brass, reamer companies, components choices..... it’s a fun time to play with custom rifles. it was a different game 30 years ago when I had my first custom rifle built.

will the 22 Dasher compare with the 22 Creedmore? I haven't any experience with Creedmore of any bore size.
The 22CM has a fair bit more case capacity than does the Dasher so at equal pressure and same bullet the 22CM will likely be around 100 +/- fps faster.

Of those choices I'd go regular .22-250 with a faster than standard 1:12 twist

(1:8 might not be too good if you want to shoot 50gr and under varmint bullets though at that speed)

Scrummy

6.5 creedmore using 100 grain nosler ballistic tips work VERY well!
not fur friendly though!

I've owned and coyote hunted with all of the cartridges you are asking about as well as a .22 BR. Each of those barrels were quite capable of shooting sub .200 groups once the correct powder and bullet was sorted out. None of them were at all difficult to tune. If the rifle is gunsmithed correctly the level of precision between those cartridges is a moot point. I have two rifles that I use in different circumstances. One .22-250 that is kind of a meat and potatoes everyday gun, and a .22 Creedmoor that I cary in more open terrain where the shots are likely to be much longer. I would recommend that you self evaluate the area you hunt in and decide at what distance most of the shots will happen at. I will say that the .22 Creedmoor is an awesome cartridge, but I've killed about 100x more coyotes (literally) with a .22-250.
