New Burris scope's Pistol scope's that is!

I ordered a 4-12x40 pistol scope and it took quite awhile to get it along with 2 2-7's. I opened the package's and they looked different.Upon closer inspection there was a small sticker on or around the bottom of the turret.It read:made in the philipines! I am seriously unhappy as it retails for way more than 400.00 bucks.I wasnt silly enough to buy one at that price but it was enough.I thought they were american scope's.This is the last new Burris scope I will ever buy and there service is bad.I am switching to leupold or something made in japan period.Any suggestions on who make's a good 4-12 pistol scope?

Burris is the only one i know of that makes the 4x12. Two years age when i looked for one for my contender 6BR; all i could find above 3x9 was Burris.

I ordered a set of burris signature zee rings the other day. To my surprize they are made in china now. My previous sets say made in usa on the front of the package. These have small sticker on back. Made in china...What a deal

I am really upset as now the quality will surely go down hill.They have a new ceo I believe and probably hired the number crunchers.

+1 Jon. It's really hard to make bean counters understand the concept of building and marketing a quality product.

I have two 3x12 Burris, my favorite pistol scopes. Not only are they the highest power, but also are adjustable for parallax.

I just bought my third, and yep, Phillipines. I'm disappointed, but if they are the same as the old, they will continue to be my favorite. I didn't see a lower price for the new scope, so I expect the same qulity. They had better not let me down!

Burris is now a Steiner company, there glass was mostly imported threw the years. I believe your XTR series is the only made in the USA (not fore long) product they sell now days..I have used Burris a lot and hate this fact that there now imported but I own a couple of there Philippians scopes and actually like them better.

I had a 3-12x Burris pistol scope with target turrets and that thing was only good for target shooting.

Well there goes "buy American" with them.

I sent a burris in for repair about 5 weeks ago and was told it would be 2 weeks.
I have e-mailed them twice because the phone has been busy. And called twice the 1st time they didn't know where it was. The second it was in repair. Still waiting.
