New BAT F-Class and BR Aluminum 2 Lug Action

This proprietary benchrest rifle action called The Mavrick, exclusively available through Bruno Shooters Supply and manufactured by BAT Machine, offers a high-performance design tailored for competitive shooting. Featuring a right-hand steel bolt with left-side loading and right-side ejection, it includes a PPC or BR boltface, a 75-degree bolt throw, and a .900" diameter fluted bolt with a 30-degree cone. The receiver is multiflat with parallel sides and a flat bottom, and comes coated in melonite—bare aluminum is not available. Dovetail bases are included, and the total weight is a lightweight 25.8 oz (with the bases installed), significantly lighter than most traditional benchrest actions. Additionally, specialized rear entry wrenches for barrel removal, compatible with the 75-degree bolt throw, are available as well.

Not a machinist but I believe your SB barrels would work on the Maverick.
I bought a Neuvo LR and my gunsmith said the only chambering difference was the cone angle.
The Maverick has the same (sharper) 30˚ angle on the cone as the Neuvo so the bolt nose should not be an issue, as the SB (most BAT) are 25˚.

At this moment, it is not available in a left hand, but in the future, the plan is to make left handed Mavricks available as well.

Finally……..over thirty five years ago I asked George Kelbly for a black Panda action and call it the “Black Bear”. In fact I bugged him enough when I visit his shop he’d just look at me and say “no”…it became a little jest between us. I’ve always loved the looks of the beautiful Panda action but wanted one in black for custom built rifles with beautiful wood. Well the good news is it looks like Lester has finally made my dream of a black Panda like action available!

A couple questions will it become available with a 223 bolt face? A good reason to build another 20 VarTarg or Tactical 20! And will you please design some multi-flat scope rings ( like the beautiful Kelbly rings that are now unfortunately discontinued) that directly attach to the action rib? Why have both a dovetail mount and rings that just adds two potential problems and takes away the beautiful lines of the action and scope.

I’m curious about this as well. Is a rbrp an option moving forward?

For my style of F-Class shooting, rbrp is more desirable. Once I’m in position on the mat, I don’t want to do a lot of squirming around. I’ve thought about rblp but never tried it.

The other thing about this action is the port size. Will it accommodate 308 and 284? What happens when you try to eject a loaded round?

I don't know about this action but on my f class rifle I have to pull the bolt to eject a loaded round. Not a big deal at all.
