New Bartlein barrel offering?

On Grizzly's website, they list this barrel as being 'New':

T10560 Bartlein Barrels .308 5R x 30" Finished, .300 x .308 Bore/Groove x 1-10 Twist - 1.250x 5.00 taper to .900 Barrel

On Bartlein's website, they show the #9 heavy varmint contour only with a 28 inch length.

Is the 30 inch #9 a new offering?

i'm not sure if it's new or not but I put one on my ft/r rig and it shoots great. a good match for the 185 hybrids.

I don't think grizzly sells anything used . All there stuff is new I buy from them on a regular basis . I like grizzly. The president of grizzly is a long range shooter
He probably orders them special for long range.for his catalog and website

I wasn't implying it had been shot before I got it. by new I was referring the ops question about 30 inch as opposed to 28. thank's for the laugh though.

The reason for this different length could be the fact that Grizzley does a huge business with Bartlein, I was told they have and keep right around a million dollars of Bartleins in stock. With that type of buying power i am sure they can get anything old Shiraz wants.

No, the contour for a heavy varmint is defined as Ø.900" @ 28". I have several Bartlein and Brux HV contours that were 31" blanks. You can order additional length if desired.
