I feel special….lol
Order placed.
You are eating some big dogs for lunch! My Wilson dies came today. Great price and fast shipping!Man, I am trying. It is a dog eat dog world out there for sure.
When you have both 3" and 4" you know I'm gonna get both then!
I had some small amount of bowing coupled with a front bag with a hump in the middle that I couldn’t get rid of. Now I’m using an Edgewood “Dropout” front bag and a 3” @urbanrifleman pic rail bag rider, and they work well together.I have both 3" and 4" pic rail versions. Neither have suffered field failure .
I do not over tighten the screws as that could possibly put a slight bow in the bag rider.
I expect, as with the current version, fit will be snug enough to not need much tension on the screws.
I'll be all in on these. Tried the pic rail versions with a short rail and ARCA clamp. The side of the rest top interfered with the tension knob on the clamp.
I found the fit to be snug enough that the screws didn't need to be tightened enough to put any bow in the bottom of the bag rider.I had some small amount of bowing coupled with a front bag with a hump in the middle that I couldn’t get rid of. Will one of the 3" ones work on a tripod to haul out in the mountains to shoot live varmints?
thanks,
ISS
I think that you need an ARCA mount for your stock. This is a bag rider that attaches to an ARCA mount. So I don't think this is what you're looking for.So, with spinal cord surgery coming up; I want to shoot off of a regular tripod. Standing up is the least painful option. I was thinking I could just mount this where a spotting scope or camera would go.
