New AR barrel Recommendations?

White oak always comes highly recommended. As well as craddock precision or compass lake. That being said if you want a good cut rifle barrel with no wait . Look at the stainless Proof barrels. Usually they run around $425. I’ve had a couple and they shoot lights out. I noticed Bass Pro has a 16” on the cheap. Won’t last long at this price.54122ED8-66CE-4C0D-9B42-90EE1C3D12D8.pngAD2DF1AC-F737-4EB5-B278-27E847E93321.png

Got an upper from Bear Creek two weeks ago, 20" heavy barrel. It is the most accurate out-of-box AR I have ever shot! First 10 shot group was one inch with hand loaded Sierra 55gr Blitzkings. Fit, Finish and Function were perfect..."all day long."

I’ve toyed with the Ballistic advantage barrels and some others. You might get a decent barrel you might not. 7B123882-B78A-4C93-965F-5CDD5E95C649.jpeg

Great Barrel for a Sweet Price.

18" Wilson 1/8 .936 Bull $105+$8 shipping.

I believe White Oak uses Wilson Blanks on their Button Rifled Barrels.

Dammit!

There are two Wilson's making barrels. Wilson Arms and Wilson Combat.
I have only used the Wilson Arms Barrels & Blanks with excellent results. My son uses a Wilson Arms 20” AR barrel finished by WOA to launch 80 grain SMK’s out to 1000 yards at the Camp Perry Long Rang National Matches.

Based on Wilson Combat’s reputation, I would not be afraid to use one of their barrels either…. Just no personal experience with them.
