new bill calls for home inspection of gun owners

One of the major gun-control efforts in Olympia this session calls for the sheriff to inspect the homes of assault-weapon owners. The bill’s backers say that was a mistake.

check the web.

Prime sponsor of the Senate Bill 5737B is Sen. Ed Murray, D-Seattle, the other sponsor Sen. Adam Kline, D-Seattle, a lawyer who typically is hyper-attuned to civil-liberties issues, said he did not know the bill authorized police searches because he had not read it closely before signing on.
I don't know if these two are STUPID idiots who don't even know what their staff is writing and they are signing or they are just sneaking SOB's, who think we are all Idiots, and they thought they could just slip it through unnoticed. We need to vote or recall these two out of office!!! >:( >:( >:(

Here in Austria the police control the storage of semi automatic firearms, pistols and revolvers all 5 years. When the firearms are not stored correctly or when another person is able to reach the guns (children, wife), the gun owner lost the license and the guns.
When the gun owner get a judicial penalty of more than 2 month, when he come in a menthal clinic or when he show an act of violence, he lost his firearms license and the police confiscate all guns.
To get a license to own semi automatic firearms and pistols, a psychiatric report, a clean reputation and a firearms training evidence is necessary.

And this strict laws are "not enough" for the doo-gooders here in Austria.

Before 1996 the Austrian gun laws were very liberale. Only pistols and revolvers were registrated. Rifles, semi auto rifles etc were free without registration for persons >18 years.
Here is a nice statistik. There was no significant effect on the murder statistik because since 1991 - years before our new strict laws - the murder rate drop constant.
But what happend 1991 ? The DNA analyse was introduced and perhaps discouraged some potentially murders.
In Austria less than 5% are murdered with a legal firearm - more than 60% are murdered with a knife.

In europe we have a lot of experience with "gun control".
Adolf Hitler has introduced the first "gun control" and licenses for firearms. All guns must be registrated.
And after all guns were registrated, the Nazis start 1938 to disarm all juds, member of the opposition, homosexual and arrest them in concentration camps - without any significant resistance.

It`s realy interessting, that homo sapiens is not teachable.

And consider a bill introduced in Missouri. Although unlikely to pass, it's just another example of what we are potentially facing and having to fight.

The Washington State bill? Perhaps they knew exactly what they were doing and signing.

Most of these idiots should be fired immediatelyl. If they don't know what they're signing that makes them incompitent. If they do, they are liars. Either way they don't need to be representing me in any way.

Thats why I moved out of that state 20+ years ago, just another wanna be california sorry don't mean to affend anyone from Cal. Montana starting to get to liberal for my taste maybe try wyoming next or?

They are still calling it a "mistake" even though it has been submitted every year since 2009-2010. Yeah, right.

A bill going forward in the Minnesota State House (HF 241) has the same inspection requirement of all owners of assault weapons to make sure they are stored safely. Some national figure in DC must be writing these bills and passing them out for free.

What I love is the claim that these bills help address the crime issue and this is amazing when you think of the following:
- taking police officers off the street dealing with criminals to search the houses of LAW ABIDING citizens
- given that assault weapons are only used in 1-2% of the homicides in the US anything they do with assault weapons will have very little impact on crime.

I will shut up,

wade

We need to concentrate less on 1993 and commit more to do something now to stop this insane assault upon our second amendment right to own and bear arms.
Contact you elected officials at all levels of government to let them know if they support this lunacy they will be removed at the next election. If we band together and do this, it will get results. No more lip service, just do it!
