new 6PPC bbl

my first time owning a PPC and getting used to what it likes,,I think I need a tighter bushing and some 68 Ultimate BT`s ,,
but still looks like it is gonna want to shoot,

Krieger 12 twist .237 bore 1.250 tapered to 1.050 at 24 inches and I am under the 13.5 lbs UBR limit with room enough to add a little weight in the Leonard stock with early Farley action and 35X Leupold CS,,

I really like the crown Tim cut on this one,,

Excellent looking target! The POI shift could be due to slight pressure differences of the bags due to the difference in aiming points. It could also be caused by slight optical conditions..ie(slow mirage) or by the switching headwind. I hope you use that barrel wisely, I have several that never showed that much promise.

Why is there a poi shift? I have experienced this also.

I was holding off all over the place trying to chase my flags and keep in the middle,,

if you overlap the five bulls I bet they would be just about the same as the five shot group also,,maybe as bad as .250,,those 10 shots were fired over maybe 15 minutes as I was trying to learn how much change in my flags equalled how much shift on target,,

Why, might I ask, the 12 twist?
You might want to toss the Norma brass, you're going to have far greater success with Lapua.
As an aside, your group is greater than 2 bullet diameters across so it's impossible to be in the 1's, low-mid .3".

ok somebody with ontarget want to measure the group,,it is a 5 Meter 4P BB gun target,,the black bulls are .725,,

I tried to get a pic with two 68 Berger FB bullets and they like a right smart going in the hole side by side,

the hole measures .430 outside to outside,,but I did measure one of the single holes and it measure .239 so you can add .004 to the group .430-.239 =.201

if two .243 bullets wont fit the hole it has to be less than .243 group,no??

Nice shooting. How much neck tension are you using now? I like to use 4k neck tension with 133.

the necks on a loaded round are .2655 and I started with a .264 bushing but after sizing ,the necks measure .2632
I do plan on trying a .263 and .262 bushing and also want to try LT32 powder and Barts 68 Ultimate BT,,

I do have some Lapua 220 Russian brass that was fireformed in the bbl that came on the rifle that I planned on trying if the Norma brass really sux but I kinda like to try crazy off the wall stuff like using 6mm PPC brass in a 6mm PPC chamber before going to all that hassle,,

but I did ask for advice on

using the 12 twist bbl http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/12-twist-ppc.3895494/

on using the Norma brass http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/norma-6ppc-brass.3896875/

and what powder to use http://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/6ppc-powders.3896964/

thanx to all that advised me in building my first 6PPC and working up my first load,,hopefully it will shoot a couple 66`s next Saturday,,

Great shooting Mr.big they are a lot of fun. Here is one I like to share from one of my beloved 14 twist 6BR's
.116 5 shots at 100 Yards. By the way I have some New in the box (new stuff) Norma 6PPC brass I would part with.IMG_0283-2.jpg

This does not take into account your hold-off, but your POI shifts on the record bulls are exactly indicative of the wind shifts per your diagram. The headwind pointing to 5 o'clock has a left-to-right component that will pull a bullet down as well as to the right a bit (bulls 1,3,4), while the 8:30 headwind has a right-to-left component that will float a bullet as well as sending it to the left, hence the shot at 9 o'clock on bull 5.
