New 6mm BR barrel, do I want to try moly coated bullets?

I built a new slow twist 6mm BR and I'm running seriously low on the light weight bullets it likes. A member has offered to sell me some Moly coated bullets. Not knowing anything about them, do I want to try them? Safe to switch back to non-coated when they are gone? Did a search and getting mixed results for both yes and no... go figure.

This seems to have gone out of favor with bench shooters. I have read of problems cleaning it out of barrel. No first hand knowledge. I think it's place is in a game with lots of shots fired such as XCourse matches. I would steer clear. On the other hand, try it and let us know your opinion after using them. We can all learn from you, I do not think it will harm a barrel.

Even in XCourse matches it has lost some favor. What I've heard is that there isn't any net benefit along with the barrel is harder to clean. Some are still using moly coated bullets.

If you clean your barrel there won't be any issues. Put the barrel away in moist conditions then you might have trouble with sulfuric acid. I don't shoot naked bullets. I like HBN coating and nitrocarburized barrels. All bullet coatings are good. Some are better for your habits than others.

In time past I have swapped over to moly coated and then back to uncoated with no issues at all. Just clean really well.

I like WS2 the best though. It coats easily and seems to put of the need to clean to a long interval. Moly is messy as all get out and has the spectre of corrosion.
WS2 is more stable as well. Trying boron now and its different.
