New 6BR target/varminter,with pics)

I took delivery of my new 6BR recently and then removed the semi finished stock so I could finish sanding and applying sealer. Here's the details:

Laminated stock in Rem 40XB pattern
Maddco 26 inch, 1 in 8 twist, .273 no turn neck
Stiller Predator action, single shot
Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50mm scope with NP1-RR reticle
Jewell trigger

The stock came up well with 12 coats of floor sealer with a color tint added and then 2 clear coats of a gloss polyurethane called Gel Clear. Not to mention a lot of sanding and zero grade steel wool between coats!

Hope you like it. I am the happiest rifle owner there is right now!

Here's a picture of the rifle the day I picked her up and the stock the way it was. Unfinished, boring and needing some color and some gloss.
All gunsmithing done by Shane Clancy. A real top job.
I haven't started reloading for it yet but will be soon.

That is a beautiful rifle and I am envious. I am putting one together also on a Savage model 12 Low Profile Single Shot that didn't shoot the way I wanted it to. It was in 204. I'm going to redo the Savage stock which is a laminate also. The Savages laminate all feel like a 2"x4" to me. Have a Rem VLS that feels good to me so will try to copy the diamentions of that stock for the Savage. Keep us posted on how that rifle shoots.

Yes I will put up some target photos soon as I can. Going to try to get some Berger 80 grain bullets today and with that I'll hopefully get a good varmint round before I go on to the target stuff.
I'm still doing a lot of reading.
