6.5 x 06 AI is great choice. After building a successful 7 SAUM, I had stuff to build a 6.5 SAUM. I am finally pushing the 150 SMK fast enough with 8 twist Bartlein barrel, right at 3100 fps. With your 06 AI, make sure you at least give this bullet a try. Frank G hit it on the money when he said 8tw might not be enough on my 6.5 x 284 which was running at 2930 node, but with the 6.5 SAUM the 150 shines with the extra velocity. Adv BC .713 and based on come ups its right there. Good luck with your project.
