If you go to fields like these, you'd better have three rifles to rotate. I've been taking a 22 LR for 0-100 yds, 218 Bee for 50-200, and 22 BR for 100-300. I'm not really one of those guys who is gonna brag about shooting the crap out of them at 4 or 5 hundred yards. It's pretty windy around here, and these little fellers are a small target. jd

I wouldn't want to tell the man who owns this field that I'm leaving breeding stock.
I think I've seen 25 in the view of my scope. With a 22 I have several times killed two with one shot, and killed more than a few with a ricochet.

I'm kind of interested to see what our spring squirrel crop looks like this year since a lot of the guys used the new poison last year. This particular field will be a good field to judge by. jd

on their fist day out the young ones line up right next to the hole. five with one shot.we stopped shooting so I could get a picture. doubles and triple all day. it's the first time in 26 years of shooting these critters that I was there on "THE DAY"
