Never Saw A Jewell Trigger Do this

I admit, that aside from flushing with lighter fluid, and adjusting the various parts per the instructions, I am no expert on triggers. I've never had the stones to take one apart.
Actually, they are pretty simple. I like to work back from the edge of my desk, about in the middle, on a white terrycloth towel so that things will not bounce or roll. Even though I know their insides pretty well I always keep a picture nearby for reference. In my experience the side plates are pretty wavy, enough so that I did not try to flatten them, just polish and lightly stone the edges and corners that contact them. I leave the parts that have critical angles alone. Once you have done one, you will relax, and they become just another piece of equipment. The BR model is slightly different than the HVR, which has to have an articulated lever tip for the heavier trigger springs.

I still have some of the older Jewells and love them but they are becoming dinosaurs due to lack of innovation. I turned to bixn andy years ago. No regrets

this one found on W. bank of Mountain Fork river just above Tohnikka crossing....huge backstraps. wonder if it tasted like gator or iguana??? I bet they ate a few Caddoans...

There are dinosaur bones trapped in mud literally by the millions in a line from Canada all the way down to Mexico along the Rockies. All trapped violently in mud many of them craning to breathe. Interesting thing is there aren't any babies. Only adults. The last stand of the dinosaurs before the final waves covered them over. It's actually pretty obvious when you look at it what happened. They didn't go there to die they were running. Like a giant herd fleeing the waves. Until they crashed over them and trapped them in mud.

As long as we're talking dinosaurs:
