I’ll never forget my father, grandfather (WW1 & WWII), 4 uncles and 1 aunt,
Just want the correct story of these leaders and what they really were.
I can jump into Westmoreland & Momyer but today is WW2 start

I was surprised driving to work this morning, that while listening to two different radio stations for almost an hour, neither one mentioned this date. Years past it was almost mentioned first in the news of the hour....

I am not suprised at all.

Unfortunately, this day has NOT been remembered by the masses.......and just as unfortunately......you know what they say about forgotten history.

May they all rest in peace. My family were all navy men and served in the Pacific.......saw some really bad stuff.

I saw WW2 through the eyes of a young boy-----our country was much
different in those days--patriotism reigned and our country was 110% in
support of our military.

Many memories will be with me as long as I have a rational mind----some
very terrible but many that would make me proud of our country for life.

I've tried to write some about this for my sons and grandchildren but just
can't seem to get it done---just can't sit down and write on demand, maybe
some day the spirit will move me.

I'll forever be proud of our country and what America stands for----many nowadays
wonder just what the hell is this December 7th stuff ?

Well I know and hope others will know, even if not from the actual memories. I'm not
at all tolerant of those who disagree with me on this----never will be.

Nor forget ten hours later they attacked the Philippines. Even though MacArthur was warned he did nothing. Then for some BS reason the US government awarded him the Medal of Honor.
An absolutely horrible man. On July 28 1932 he did attack 20,000 US vets camped in front of the White House. Burned their tents and shacks all on his own without orders to do so. What a hero.

The Bonus Army. Other famous names involved was George S Patton and DD Eisenhauer

Another attack that happened at the same time as Pearl Harbor was Wake Island The date listed for Wake is Dec 8, because of the International Date Line. Both attacks took place at the same time

At the end of WW-2, my Dad was stationed in the Philippines, training to be in the Force that was to invade The Mainland Islands of Japan.

When you see the estimates of the casualty figures if we had to invade the Japanese Homeland, there is a good chance he would have not survived.

And I would not be here.

Seems like more government politicians and a lot of people have already forgot 12/7 and the people that died that day. They have also forgot what the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights is supposed to gaurantee citizen's.

I went to demolition school in Japan while our submarine was there in 1959. got a good look at the caves and tunnels there.
if we had to do an armed invasion, it would have made IWO and Okinawa look like a Sunday picnic
