Nevada Deer Hunt

Truck is a Dodge Ram 2500. I had the front axle u-joints changed a while ago. “Mechanic” didn’t get one of the retainer clips in. Coming out if camp it spit a ujoint cap and the inner axle caught the upper ball joint blowing up the yoke, inner axle seal and ball joint. It was a mess!
Sad thing is I always do my own repairs. Road salt had the hubs so seized I just gave up and paid to have them done. It was $600 for the initial bad job and $950 for a quick fix in Fernley. I get to tear the whole front end down next week and change the inner seals. The dealer wanted another $1,000 for that.
The optimist in me says “Thank you Lord for getting us and the truck through the hunt”. If that would have happened on the way to the hunt, that would have been really bad!
