Nesika K firing pin spring

forum members,
I want to drink the cool-aid (changing springs). But, I am having trouble finding a firing pin spring. Nesika hasn't responded to voicemail and their website help form is in-op. Are they even in business?

Anyway, if anyone knows where I can get information to buy a replacement spring, I'm in the need for one.

Kevin

Are you calling Dakota Arms in Rapid City, SD? They are Nesika. Called not too long ago to get a couple of sliding plate extractors from them, very friendly and helpful.

yeah, "Press 1 for Dakota Arms. Press 2 for Nesika....."

ok. I'll give them some more time and try their website help form once again. maybe the website was having a bad day. Hopefully, they will call me back soon from my voicemail.

Thx,
Kevin

FOUND: Nesika K firing pin spring

I got a reply from the online form on the Dakota Arms site. The nesika portion of the site is still down for sending questions.

Anyway, I'm well on the way to getting a couple replacement springs for $15 each.

I hope this gets my ES down. That's what the cool-aid is all about right?

Thanks all!

Springs arrived today. One is in the bolt and the spare is in my "Save-a-Match (SAM)" kit. hopefully it stays there.

Thanks for the help.

I dont know about es numbers but itll show up on paper if its bad. Poor ignition sets off bad vibrations and as you remember from way back we're talkin bout good vibrations

I just went through a weak firing pin problem on my BAT B. Started at the World Open in Williamsport in july. Started blanking primers during sighters and record rounds! Ruined 60 brand new cases over that weekend! Ironically, it shot well at 1k and agg'ed a 2 Gun group of 6.7". I don't understand how blanking primers, lol.

Could not pinpoint why...several weeks of testing, looking in the barrel...powder testing different lots of powder and chronoed everything. My ES was all over the place each time I tested. Finally had the notion to install a new spring that I had ordered months prior. Like a light switch...was able to shoot my original load with no problems and ES back to single digits! Don't compare my BAT with yours because design differences with the ignition system. BAT redesigned their pin assembly in 2014 and will have the parts to convert mine in a week. The new spring definitely made a big difference. Lesson learned....keep springs on hand, lol.

I sure hope this has been my problem too. This new spring makes me leary to dry fire it's so strong. The original spring had probably 10k rounds on it or more and was about 10 yes old. It now resides in the bottom of the trash can.
