Nesika "K" Action questions

I am looking at a Nesika "K" actioned switch barrel setup with a NSX scope, brass, dies, bullets, powder etc as an entire package deal. I understand that they left WA. state and moved to Sturgis SD around ~2005. This particular action was made in Sturgis. Are they any good? I have read about bolt galling problems and other issues related to bolt timing. It is a round bottom action with the Borden bumps. I also understand that they had a few dark years from 2005-2007 with their quality control. I am looking for advice and pro's/con's on this possible purchase.

Frank, the K model is basically a Remy footprint but much nicer. I have a K model with Sturgis stamped on it in 7wsm, I've had no problems with galling or timing.

40x...I'm in the same boat as you. I'm looking at a Nesika mdk K repeater in .308 Palma match w/Lilja barrel and a McMil hunter stock. This Nesika is from Washington. But think I would prefer a single shot and not a repeater. decisions-decisions!

Cigarcop, thats what I am wanting to hear. :) I think I am going to "pull" the trigger on this purchase. It would be my first truly custom action. Been fooling with Remington and Savage actions for a long time. It is time to step up.

Coverdog, yes I see they made them in repeaters also. Is this particular action made in Washington or Sturgis? The one i am looking at is chambered in 6-284 and 22-47L with load data as well. I like the switch barrel idea.

The one I am looking at is from Washington. The guy had it built for hunting. It has a 22" Lilja barrel in a McMillian stock chambered in 308 Palma Match. Has a Leupold Vari XIII 6.5-20x40 in talley rings and mounts. Comes with Neil Jones Micrometer dies, 200 Lapua brass, Sinclair neck turner, Type S bushing Redding neck die, 200 + bullets and a few other things I can't remember.

$1600 seems to good to pass up. But I really want a single shot since I am getting into 600-1000yd shooting.

Coverdog, I bought this setup, and the action is smooth as butter. My first custom action, and the former owner had shot moly bullets in the 22X47L barrel. After an hour scrubbing with JB and Witches brew it is as spotless as day one. Prepping brass for the weekend so I can flog it with some naked 80 grain Sierras and Bergers. If you want to get into the LR shooting it may be better to wait on the single shot action. Although the repeater will do the job. Just my honest opinion.

I have a Poulsbro K single shot and it has been a great action. I don't know about the Sturgis actions. I've recently bought an extra firing pin and a trigger hanger from them as spares for big matches and the customer service was great. No problems with the originals. Just following advice from another shooter who travels a lot.
