Nesika E FP Spring Help

I'm looking for help finding a replacement spring for a Nesika Model E. There are a few threads on different models, however, I haven't had much luck getting confirmation for the Model E.

I haven't been able to reach anyone with Defiance who's familiar with the action, and I can't even get Parkwest Arms (current "owner" of Nesika) to answer the phone. Jim wasn't familiar with the model though suspected it might just be a std Rem 700 SA. I'm not a smith and not sure if I should just try a Wolff, but would prefer to ask the Forum before I screw something up with the wrong tension or any other unknown unknowns.

Any help would be much appreciated.
-Mike

Measure the assembled length of the spring, the number of coils, the wire diameter, the ID and OD.
Then get a poundage read from the pin assembly. Disassemble and measure the free length.
Call Wolf with all this info and ask if they either have or can make one for you.
I don't recall exactly, but 18 lbs. should be enough. Someone please correct me if that is not the right preload.

No luck getting ahold of Chad, but thanks for the great intel Alan!

If anyone has a clever method for checking the force on the preload, please advise. If compression is the same as an extension, then maybe I can "fish scale" an inch and convert it to ft-lbs.
Or I just go with 18lbs...

Thanks to all for the help.

For any folks finding themselves here in the future - Give Parkwest Arms a call. (You may have to be a bit persistent.)
A gentleman named Ward Dobler (may have that spelling wrong), knows Nesika's and had stock on springs. It sounds like they use two preloads, heavy and lite. Heavy = 22lbs, Lite = 18lbs.
1 coil corresponds to 2 lbs, so they instructed me to cut two coils (4lbs) should 22lbs be too much.

From what I gathered speaking with Ward, the above should apply to Model G's as well as E's.
