Nesika Custom 7mm Rem Mag does it again

Well I am still amazed as to the accuracy of this rifle. Shot two deer this year and although the shots were relatively short 100 and 250yds, the rifle/cartridge combo is deadly. I have owned this rifle for several years and killed many deer and a few coyotes. Longest shot on deer 400 yds and coyote was 300yds, I have never missed with this rifle! I know the 7mm rem mag is not known for it's accuracy but with my reloads it shoots in the .2s and .3s! Love this rifle!!

I’ve never missed or lost one with mine either. My longest shot has been 200 yards but I broke that deer’s neck on purpose. Head shot the does I harvested for meat. I’ve never heard it said they were inaccurate. Only bad experiences I’ve heard about were the nut behind the trigger.

No I don't. I have a Rem 700KS in 7RM I've had for more than 20 years and have had no reason to change. Mine shoots in the .1's(not every time but) on a regular basis with Remington factory ammo. It's the most accurate rifle I or my father have ever shot. Had a friend who had a Smith & Wesson (Howa) 1500 in 7RM and it was very accurate as well. Oh there are some new fangle cartridges out that are faster, have better trajectories and newer custom rifles with the newer powders being more consistent but if the person pulling the trigger can't deliver the goods it's all in vane. Sounds like you have a keeper. Nice buck also.

Thanks, I started hunting deer in 1973 in Kentucky and there just wasn't any deer! I remember if you saw a deer you jumped up and down with excitement! I went 13 years before I killed my first deer! Now it is almost too easy! The guns are getting more accurate than they used to be also. I bought a Winchester varmint gun back in the 90's and it shot Winchester factory ammo in one hole! I still have the gun but it needs a new barrel, too many prairie dog hunting trips! The reason for my asking if you has a Nesika was I don't see or hear about them and I think they quit making them and I thought you might know.

I googled Neiska and they are still making rifles as far as I can tell. They were bought by Dakota Arms in 2003 and then by Freedom Group in 2009. I’ve never seen one but at $3495 msrp for the Hunter Model wouldn’t have done me much good to look.

That would be an easy decision for me-NO! I would hope at that price, that it was beyond accurate. As far as 7 mag accuracy, I have never had a problem getting any of the three that I have had, to shoot 1/2-1 moa with virtually any bullet. I currently have an SPS in a B&C stock and a Savage in a custom stock and Criterion barrel. Both are incredibly accurate.
